How I lust after foreign destinations. But I also enjoy exploring parts of Canada and finding newness in the familiar. I focus my travel stories on family trips, health and wellness, soft adventure, weekend getaways, and food and wine.
Whether travelling through the back roads of Guatemala, in the Mexican heartland that is Oaxaca or to nearby Montreal
I have travelled through a range of destinations and experiences – from feeding a wild pig in the Out Islands of the Bahamas to biking in Quebec, to yoga in the Bahamas, hiking in Arizona, and family escapes in the Caribbean and closer to home – in Muskoka, the Kawarthas and the Eastern Townships and the Laurentians of Quebec.
Because of my background in social work, I incorporate a wellness focus, and an appreciation for escapes that promote mental health whenever possible.
Whether travelling through the back roads of Guatemala, in the Mexican heartland that is Oaxaca or to nearby Montreal, eating good food is central to my experience of place. Although guilty pleasures might well mean eating at a five-star Michelin restaurant, I also relish finding the best taco truck, grazing the cheese table at a local market, or finding the perfect cappuccino.
